RECRUITMENT First discovered when at 14 she entered Elite's Look of the Year contest. Unfortunately, she lost. Another fellow competitor who did not win was Cindy Crawford.  Eventually in 1985, she signed with Elite.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION Niki was the youngest person ever to sign a multi-year multi-million dollar contract when in September of 1991, at 17, she signed on with Cover Girl. She owns her own company called Niki Inc. In December 1993, she married Arena Football player Matt Martinez. They had twins named Hunter and Jake. Soon after, they divorced. Last report: Niki was seeing a man named Chris Paciello. The latest reports however has Niki seeing Florida Panthers hockey player Rob Niedermayer. Niki had aspirations to become a marine biologist. The point is proven by the tattoo of a dolphin on her ankle. She has other tattoos on various body parts. Niki's father was a highway patrolman. Niki had a sister named Krissy who was set to become a full-time model. Her potential was great, but in July 1995, Krissy tragically died due to complications from asthma.
