RECRUITMENT	First discovered when at 14 she entered Elite's Look of the Year contest. Unfortunately, she lost. Another fellow competitor who did not win was Cindy Crawford. Eventually in 1985, she signed with Elite.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION	There is no better example of what classic beauty is than with Stephanie Seymour. Truly a supermodel, she has done it all and still managed to have a family. She has encountered many bumps on the road of her life, but she has handled them well. Those bumps include her past relationships with John Casablancas, the founder of Elite Modeling Agency, and with rock star Axl Rose. The latter relationship involved abuse in which Axl was sued by Stephanie. The case was settled out of court in 1994 after Stephanie brought in Axl's former girlfriend who also was abused. Stephanie then had a relationship with Warren Beatty and now is married to the publisher of Interview Magazine, Peter Brandt. He is also the #1 ranked amateur polo player in the country. The best man at the marriage was Robert DeNiro. Other guests included Naomi Campbell, Nadja Auermann, Claudia Schiffer, Kate Moss, and Kristen McMenamy. They have two sons together: 2 year old Peter Jr. and 4 month old Harry. She also has a son from a previous marriage, 6 year old Dylan Thomas. Voted in 1995 by Paris Match Magazine as the "2nd Most Beautiful Woman in the World." Allure Magazine has said Stephanie is the "embodiment of perfection for the nineties." She has a distinguishing mark: a tattoo border of roses on her ankle and a beauty mark on the inside of her left thigh.
